Kirubel Erassa, representing American Distance Project, placed second in the invitational men's 5,000 meters in a personal-best 13:17.23 at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Erassa elevated to No. 4 in the world this year.
