Clayton Murphy, representing Nike Oregon Project, won the invitational section of the men's 1,500 meters in his outdoor season debut in 3:37.59 at the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angell Field in Palo Alto, Calif. Murphy, making his first career appearance at Payton Jordan, elevated to No. 3 in the world this year.
