Courtney Frerichs, a junior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, took advantage of the great weather and competition at Stanford's Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational on Saturday, running an 11-second PR on her way to winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9:32.12. “I knew I was pretty fit,” Frerichs said after the race. “I wasn't sure just how fit.”
