In an interview with RunnersWorld released last night, Chris Solinsky confirms that he will be pacing the 10000 at the Cardinal Invite this Sunday. His teammates, Tim Nelson and Matt Tegenkamp, will be aiming for the Olympic A standard.

You're doing a 10,000 on Sunday. Is this an American record attempt? Is it really important to get a fast time in in the event right now?
CS: Well actually, I'm running the 10,000 but I'm not going to finish. I'm pacing my teammates to get the Olympic standard (the "A" is 27:45) and just using this as a glorified workout to strap the spikes on and see what the pace feels like. But right now, we're still in pretty heavy training for myself and focusing on the end of the year. We originally thought I was going to run it (the entire 10,000) and then we kind of changed our mind. And we were just going to go for the Olympics standard, we weren't going to try anything too fancy, to run any fast times or anything. We're going to save those kinds of performances for a World Championship or an Olympic Championships race.
